On Friday, April 29th, we were privileged to partner with the Cobb County Bar Association as a silver sponsor of the fourth annual Law Day Classic Golf Tournament. Benefitting their Children’s Emergency Fund, the tournament has quickly become a highlight for the community in more ways than one.
Marietta is a vibrant city, but, like anywhere else, it has citizens who struggle to make ends meet. In some instances, unforeseen circumstances leave area families in need of help. The Cobb County Bar Association started the Children’s Emergency Fund to help meet the needs of families in crisis. They coordinate their efforts with both the Cobb and Marietta school systems and social services counselors there.
The fund can literally mean the difference between a family remaining in a stable environment or facing homelessness. Through a one-time financial grant, families can get back on their feet. With the support of local businesses and organizations, the Children’s Emergency Fund is able to lend a helping hand in a tangible way to members of our own community.
Donovan Reporting benefits tremendously from the many resources of our community, and I believe it is important to give back in useful and meaningful ways. It is truly our pleasure to assist and sponsor local events and charities throughout the year, every year. I am proud of the many local entities that exist for the good of all, and I am especially proud of the Cobb County Bar Association and the Children’s Emergency Fund. I hope to continue to be an integral part of their efforts for years to come!
